Apple Might Go Into A Subscription Service for Music

According to a NYT article, Apple is talking about encorporating the cost of music into its iPods or iPhones.  After a year or two, the service would expire and the user could either buy a new iPod or pay a renewal fee.  Like other subscription services, the music would be tied to the iPod.  If you didn’t renew, you would loose all your music.  Personally I think this is a horrible idea.  Part of the reason I use iTunes is because they let you own your music.
